Disruptions, eruptions, breakthroughs
 Intense,
transform-
ational winds are blowing pretty much non-stop all summer, making it
vital to stay
as centered, ground-
ed and focused
as possible. The ex-
tremely concentrated energies of July and August remind us that challenges can serve
as a gateway through which significant change is brought about, sometimes through discomfort
that motivates us to find new ways of being and relating. As many of us
have noticed, when times get tough, we discover that our capacity for
love and service to others is bigger than we ever imagined.
By being aware of the forces at work, we can offset the negative
manifestations of powerful energy spikes as they present themselves,
and harness the power for positive, or conscious responses for the best
outcome. We do have a choice as to how we each process and utilize
these energies once they arrive, whatever form they take in our
individual lives. If we can't turn down the intensity, we can at least
do meaningful things to
care for ourselves and others, like working
toward new levels of group cooperation or breaking free of old,
negative patterns.
We have the opportunity to rise to our best and
experience healthy transformation in
times of crisis, stepping up and
being a person of
positive influence for ourselves and others.
July is a powerful, fiery, and big energy month: definitely not business
as usual, that includes a total solar eclipse on July 11th. With liquid magma
boiling beneath the mouth of a collective volcano, it takes just the right
timing, temperature and conditions for an eruption to occur. You
might say that all three of these elements are present in July, that
can produce liberating breakthroughs as well as powerful disruptions.
The conscious expression of all of this power can manifest as
brilliant creative expression,
high levels of commitment to something
or
someone, problem solving
through concerted group action, and
many
people being shaken out of old routines, seeking new directions.
At
the unconscious
level, we could see unbridled expressions
of
rage and
frustration, narcissistic behavior and communication
misfires
that
derail relationships, with fear patterns running the show.
Global influences
We may see sudden changes in the economic/financial stability of already
weakened institutions. Political polarization may stall legislation getting
passed, as greater tensions brew between leaders and the public
at large. People, events and the earth itself may be in swift, sudden
motion. Leaks, cracks, and eruptions could appear anywhere along
fault lines of instability.
This influence, especially around the time of
the full
moon of
July 25-26, can arouse both courage and intolerance,
progressive urges
and reactionary forces.
Relationships
July's energy is applying noticeable pressure on relationships that are
cruising along with an outdated operating system. If old patterns of
repressed needs, desires and emotions are smoldering just beneath
the surface, expect to see deep issues erupt into the open, to be seen
and hopefully healed. Any relationship being held together by duct tape,
rather than a mutual commitment to personal growth and evolution,
may not survive this powerful portal. The times we live in are just not supporting being asleep at the wheel.
Physical influences
A faster frequency is demanding more of our nervous systems. Our
bodies are still playing catch-up in assimilating broader streams of
incoming data.
By paying attention to the immediate needs of our
body, we strengthen our capacity for processing new and different
kinds of information. It's a little like getting a new computer chip for
our brains. We may be able to think faster, allowing us to recognize
patterns and
energies that previously escaped detection. The more
prepared and
receptive we are to this upgrade of our biochemical
circuitry, the easier
it will be to spiral up to the next octave of
consciousness. Pacing
ourselves and doing any exercises that
promote good posture, flexible
joints and smooth, easy breathing
can provide the insulation that will
allow our wires to carry more
messages without burning us out.
The most beneficial approach to riding the energetic waves of this
month is to stay alert, follow your intuition, and enjoy the dynamic
power of the swells.

Challenges: big disconnects between authentic essence direction
